AA Ruiru Mills 250g bag
Kenyan coffee is known for it's unique profile due to the growing altitude, soil quality and overall climate which often results in coffee full of fruit flavour and bright acidity, and this particular single estate lot from Kiambu County is no exception.
The sweet flavour and aroma of vanilla is ever present, with notes of juicy pear bringing a mouth watering and well rounded body that delivers layers of flavour.
Notes of ripe bramble bring a bright and fruity acidity to the cup as well as adding to the sweetness and bringing in an extra layer of complexity.
The fully washed process allows for great clarity of flavour, and ensures that all the fruity notes are not overpowering. This coffee is sweeter than other Kenyans, but just as delicious, and in our opinion best served black.
This fully washed lot is from from Ruiru Mills Estate in Kiambu, Kenya. Ruiru Mills is a 65ha coffee farm first established by British colonists but is now one of 6 estates owned and operated by Sasini, a publicly listed company with a majority Kenyan ownership.
